When to apply

Applying for a student visa while residing outside the UK can take 3 to 6 months. Most people usually hear within 3 months but it can also take a little longer. To make sure that your VISA gets approved, adhere to application guidelines and provide updated information.

Duration of stay

Students applying for undergraduate, postgraduate, and Ph.D. programs are legally allowed to stay within the UK for up to 5 years. This can later be extended into a work VISA if you get a job. For courses lasting more than 6 months, applicants can enter the UK a month before the beginning of their degree. On the contrary, students must book a date for arrival in the UK a week prior to the starting date of their educational program.
